The TRIUMPHAL ARCH in the GARDEN of VERSAILLES. ls so named because the Architecture in the front resembles a Triumphal Arch. This Structure with the four Pyramids and two Buffets of Water is composed of Gilt Metal curiously ornamented. The Pedastals &c. on which the basins on either side are fixt, are white marble inlay'd with ornaments of Gilt metal. The elegance of design in forming this Charming Grove, its riches & the beautiful appearance of the crystal water rising in streams or falling in various cascades strike the beholders with pleasing astonishment.
